RIGHTS SOLD: ANNA FREDRIKSSON’S AUGUSTIRESAN (THE AUGUST JOURNEY) GOES TO BERLIN VERLAG IN GERMANY

Augustiresan (The August Journey) is Anna Fredriksson’s third novel that fittingly enough will be coming out in Sweden this August. Earlier in the year Berlin Verlag published Anna’s first novel in Germany and they are happy to be continuing their work with her contemporary women’s fiction.

AUTHOR STEFÁN MÁNI SIGNS NEW FILM DEAL FOR HUSID

Baltasar Kormakur’s RVK Studios has signed a deal with author Stefan Mani to adapt his latest crime novel, Husid (The House). The hero of Husid, police detective HorðurGrimsson, is also the main subject of Feigð (2011) and will be the hero of Mani’s next novel, released next fall (2013). RVK Studios has secured a first look deal on all novels on Hordur Grimsson, starting with Husid. The novel will be adapted by screenwriter Sigurjon Kjartansson.

US rights to Steve Sem-Sandberg’s upcoming novel DE UTVALDA (The Chosen Ones) have been sold to Farrar, Strauss & Giroux. They successfully published the author’s very powerful novel The Emperor of Lies in 2011 and we are happy to be able to continue working with them for this authorship.
