The jury’s motivation reads as follows: “The award goes to Ann Rosman, who brings the history of Marstrand to life and ties present and past together in her thrilling novels. Through her authorship she sparks the readers’ interest in cultural history and her books attract an increasing number if literary tourists to the area, where they seek to visit places she portrays. Rosman is passionate about telling stories that she gathers from people she meets, as well as from written sources. Her large commitment to the local community also makes her a splendid ambassador for Marstrand in particular, to the joy of the entire Kungälv region.”
