SARA GORDAN IS a renowned literary fiction writer, teacher at the acclaimed writer’s program at Biskops Arnö, and translator from French. She has translated works by Hélène Cixous, Michel Houellebecq and Laurent Binet, and made her literary debut in 2006. She lives in Stockholm with her three children.
SARA GORDAN’S FIRST novel in nine years, The Night, is written in gleaming prose leaving the reader shuddering in tears. It is a naked and honest depiction of motherhood, and the curse of never giving up on your children. It is a book for everyone that is, or for that matter has, a parent.
