DONIA SALEH IS a Swedish writer, critic, and teacher known for her powerful, politically charged prose. She debuted in 2020 with Ya Leila, which was nominated for both the Borås Tidning Debutant Prize and the Katapult Prize. Her second novel, Bile Red, was published in 2024 and further established her distinctive voice. Saleh has received multiple honors, including the Ingela Lind Prize and an authorship grant from the Albert Bonnier Foundation for Young Writers. In 2025 she was awarded the Mare Kandre Prize for her innovative and uncompromising fiction.
