Jacob Jonia’s The Travel Unit Series is now out in theaters in a major movie production by Nordisk Film.

Directed by Christoffer Boe, a star-studded cast awaits. The Travel Unit – The First Murder  brings together a powerhouse cast of Danish talent spanning generations. Leading the charge is Alex Høgh Andersen as Otto Himmelstrup. After appearing in Netflix’s Vikings and making waves in Danish cinema with roles in Nightwatch , this marks his first time headlining a feature film, taking center stage in a gripping, career-defining role. Opposite him is Mathilde Arcel as detective Camilla, poised to capture international audiences with this role. Joining the dynamic duo is Nicolaj Kopernikus (The Killing), who steps in as PR, the team’s tech whiz and Otto’s closest ally.

The Travel Unit Series unfolds in the tense, post-World War I setting of late 1920s Denmark. We follow Detective Otto Himmelstrup, the ambitious yet brooding head of Denmark’s newly established Travel Unit—a specialized unit created to aid local law enforcement in tackling the most challenging cases across the country.

When a charred corpse is discovered in the ruins of a summer house in Esbjerg, Otto and his team are drawn into a labyrinthine murder mystery. As they delve deeper, they uncover a web of power struggles and corruption lurking within the city’s elite. When a boat drifts ashore with the brutally crucified body of a young man tied to the mast, pressure from his superiors in Copenhagen rises and Himmelstrup is tasked with proving the worth of his team of traveling investigators.

But eith each step closer to the truth, the stakes rise and danger intensifies. Otto finds himself not only up against formidable adversaries but also forced to grapple with the shadows of his own soul, as his relentless pursuit of justice pushes him to the brink.
