EN HEL SEKUND I LIVET
– A WHOLE SECOND IN LIFE

BY TAMAS, GELLERT

As a young journalist Gellert Tamas reported on the fall of the Iron Curtain. Two decades later he found himself in Egypt right after Mubarak’s regime had been overthrown.

En hel sekund i livet offers a selection of Gellert Tamas’ most important reports. We are introduced to young revolutionaries from Prague to Cairo, but also to powerful men such as Göran Persson, Horace Engdahl and Sven-Göran “Svennis”Eriksson. We are allowed to follow a Holocaust denier to Auschwitz, meet Gandhi’s grandchildren in India, read about limitless love in South Africa and take part in the hunt for war criminal Karadzic. The texts have been supplemented with new comments.

The title has been borrowed from one of Stig Dagerman’s most famous daily verses, Liten måndagströst. Just like Dagerman, Tamas takes his readers to the most crucial places and events in time.
