FOTOGRAFIET – POLAROID

By Carina Bergfeldt

When the head of a body is found floating in a lake in Skövde, local reporter Julia Almliden and police officer Anna Eiler are put on the case.

An old polaroid has been stuffed into the corpses mouth and it’s blatantly obvious that this is no ordinary murder. As the investigation leads the two friends further into the darkest corners of human depravity they are forced to reconsider everything they thought they knew about each other. Julia is holding on to a painful secret from the past and Anna is pushing further into a destructive relationship.

So when not one, but two bodies are found everything seems to be drawn to a point. Julia’s entire existence is threatened and Anna grows more and more suspicious of her friends actions.

Both women have their own reasons for wanting to solve the murders but the closer they get the more dangerous secrets are uncovered.

POLAROID, is the chilling sequel to star reporter Carina Bergfeldt’s successful debut PATRICIDE. It’s an elegant and sometimes painful true crime-like telling of a suggestive case about the destructive powers of sexual violence and vindication.
