Their friendship is seriously tested when they break into an ancient salamander cave together – and it turns out that Konrad and Silvius are not only old enemies, but that Konrad has some really dirty tricks up his sleeve.

One day they may become legendary heroes—but for now, they are still just children, learning to trust one another while being thrown headfirst into perilous quests.

INSPIRED BY TABLETOP role-playing games and illustrated with affectionate nods to classic 1980s sword-and-sorcery fantasy, the A.S.P.E. books combine humor, action, and imagination. Each volume is a self-contained story that can be read independently, making the series easy to enter at any point.
