HVAD JEG TÆNKER MENS DU TALER- WHAT I AM THINKING WHILE YOU TALK

By Alberte Winding

WHAT I AM THINKING WHILE YOU TALK is Alberte Windings’ vulnerable and striking novel about a woman losing her footing, her mother, her role as a mother and herself. About the tabooed female anger and about finding a voice all over again.

PIO IS IN the middle of life, and has lost her mother, who never managed to make Pio feel seen and loved. Pio makes a living as a singer, and together with musician Martha she goes on tour.  Anatole, Pio’s son is studying in France, and even if it is painful Pio tries to come to terms with the fact  that he does not need her as he used to.
Suddenly Pio loses her voice, and in her pause from the music she meets the actor Aksel, who patiently soothes her anger and becomes a part of Pio’s life.
