by Trude Teige
Lean Against the Wind is a standalone sequel to The Ocean Sang. We are back in Sunnmøre in the mid-1800s, and Kristiane lives with Lars and their two children. The eldest son, Anders, knows that his mother wants him to become a pilot, but he has great musical talent and many plans that do not agree with his mother’s.
Kristiane seeks out the sea when she needs to think. One day, she makes a frightening discovery down by the big rock on the beach. The event has major consequences for the village. This is the second novel about Kristiane.
