A.S.P.E. 1: DÆMONHUDEN – A.S.P.E. 1: THE DEMON SKIN
By Mette Finderup
THE DAY SILVIUS by mistake blows up his master lab, he fears that all is lost. He most of all fears to be returned to his incredibly boring normal life as the son of a count on the most boring castle in the world. Luckily for him the sorceress Erina shows up and makes him an offer to become her apprentice. This will mean that he must go on wild adventures, face evil monsters, learn to create fireballs – and get three new friends who are (almost) as cool as he his. In The Demon Skin the group is gathered and send on their first adventure. A doctor collects blood samples from all his patients to animate a demon skin.
A.S.P.E. IS A fast-paced fantasy series for children aged 10–13, filled with magic, friendship, and slightly-too-dangerous adventures.
THE SORCERESS has gathered four orphaned children—Alin, Silvius, Pilo, and Ene—to train them in the classic virtues and shape them into a true adventure group. Alin wields a sword, Silvius struggles to master magic, Pilo sharpens his aim with a bow, and Ene moves silently through shadows, picking locks and secrets alike. One day they may become legendary heroes—but for now, they are still just children, learning to trust one another while being thrown headfirst into perilous quests.
INSPIRED BY TABLETOP role-playing games and illustrated with affectionate nods to classic 1980s sword-and-sorcery fantasy, the A.S.P.E. books combine humor, action, and imagination. Each volume is a self-contained story that can be read independently, making the series easy to enter at any point. With 16 books planned, A.S.P.E. offers an expansive fantasy world that invites both young readers and older fantasy fans to join the adventure. Illustrated in black and white by Christian Guldager.
