DAVID GARMARK (1972) trained as a teacher in Aarhus in 2004 and has worked as a teacher in schools around Denmark for 20 years mainly with children with special needs. In 2015, he made his debut as an author with the novel The Boy Who Never Came Home and has since written several novels and short stories. Garmark’s latest novel, Disruption, published by Modtryk, is the first novel in a new crime series about the mismatched pairing of retired coroner Walther and his 7 year old great-granddaughter Channie. Disruption was an instant bestseller and Garmark’s big breakthrough with critics and readers alike. 

IN ADDITION TO writing, David Garmark is an experienced audiobook narrator and actor who has appeared in numerous commercials, films and TV series. Most recently, he appears in DR’s Christmas calendar 2024. He currently lives in Valby outside Copenhagen and writes full-time.
