MILLE ENJOYS HER life as the owner of the little bookshop, Boghandel Blåregn. She has decorated the shop with fairy lights and fir branches, and everything is ready for the busiest time of the year. But in the run-up to the Christmas sales, she meets the charismatic actor Kristian, who is soon to play the lead role in the theater production of Mille’s favorite book, Pride and Prejudice. What begins as an annoying encounter develops into not only a barter, but also an attraction that Mille finds difficult to ignore.

AT THE SAME time, Silas is more interested in surfing in Portugal than being in a relationship with Mille. He has promised to come home for Christmas so they can visit her parents, but can Mille trust him? As Christmas approaches, Mille must figure out where her heart truly belongs and what future she wants for herself. Should she stay with the freedom-loving Silas or follow her new feelings for Kristian and the world of theater, extravagance, and romance he offers her?
