DURING THE SUMMER OF 2021, the talibans are reconquering Afghanistan and under chaotic circumstances foreign powers are leaving the country. Robert Karjel has gained unique access to all parties involved in the Swedish evacuation and he has spoken to the people that were there to live it. From seasoned ambassadors and members of the special operations unit, to Afghans having to leave everything behind and try to find refuge.

IT IS A story with dramatic turns, heartbreaking destinies and the perfect example of how life is stranger than fiction. And also about how the dedication and hard work of a few people can have a massive impact on the life of so many.
