Andrzej Tichý was born in Prague in 1978 to a Polish mother and a Czech father. The family came to Sweden in 1981. Today, Tichý resides in Malmö. He is a very literary writer, raw and stylistic, with descriptions of alienation and philosophical ideas. He is also perceived as one of the most promising young novelists in contemporary Sweden. In 2006, he received the prestigious Borås Tidnings Debutant Prize.
