ON A QUIET early summer evening, a man is found unconscious and stabbed in his car. He has no memory of what happened or how he ended up there. Shortly afterwards, Norrköping police officers Henrik Levin and Mia Bolander make a horrific discovery at the home of the man’s ex-wife. Both she and the couple’s son have been brutally murdered. The intention seems to have been to wipe out the entire family. But the daughter survives, and she claims that her father is innocent, even though everything points to him.
