Margit Richert is an author and journalist and Thomas Engström is an author and translator. In the summer of 2015 they got married and shortly thereafter they left Sweden for a trip that ended up lasting for three years. They visited Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Mexico, the Netherlands and the Shetland Islands before returning to a cottage by the lake Tiveden in northern Sweden, in the late fall of 2018. Their experiences have brought them closer and have had a deep impact on their view on society and outlook on life. Together they have also written the first two parts in the acclaimed dystopian Nordmark series.
