BIRGITHE KOSOVIC MADE her breakthrough with the novel Twin Countries in 2010. The novel is based on stories from Kosovic Yugoslav family. It won the Weekendavisen Literature Prize, the DR Novel Prize and the Danske Bank Literature Prize, and was also awarded a grant by the Danish Arts Foundation. Her novel The Greatest Danger, about Erik Scavenius, Minister of State and Foreign Affairs during the occupation, won Politiken’s Literature Prize. In her novel What You Do Not Want to Know, she recounts growing up in a Danish-Yugoslav family. Among other honours, she has received the Danish Arts Foundation’s three-year working grant.
In SEPTEMBER 2026, Birgithe Kosovic returns to the literary scene with her novel All Greek to Me, published by Gyldendal.
