Anne Swärd has been awarded Skånebokhandlarnas (The Booksellers in the Skåne Region) Author Prize for her novel "Till sista andetaget". The jury awarded her the prize with the following statement:

Anne Swärd's authorship demonstrates human encounters and differences, and the odd individual's vulnerability within the confined small-town community in a deeply sensitive manner.

Previous winners of the award include Klas Östergren, Sigrid Combüchen and Björn Ranelid.
