Author of the August Prize winning novel DE FATTIGA I LODZ is awarded with Sveriges Radios Kerstin M Lundberg Prize. The jury’s motivation was as follows:

Steve Sem-Sandberg is awarded Swedish Radio’s Kerstin M Lundberg Prize for having described Europe from inside and out during his many years as a culture journalist. In reviews, reports and columns he manages to crosscut culture, society, present and past, literature and life, so that they elucidate and enrich one another. With Steve Sem-Sandberg as our personal, deeply initiated, but never snarky guide we travel further and further into the European culture – without ever reaching the end of the road.
